Increase Credit Limit

Need More Credit While Abroad?

If you’re running low on credit limit and wondering what to do, here’s your quick guide:

Want to increase your Credit Limit?

Create a new Fixed Deposit (FD) — that’s the way to go!

  • Your credit limit = 90% of your active FD amount
  • No repayment is needed to increase the limit
  • Maximum limit: ₹25 lakh per 30-day billing cycle
  • FDs continue to earn interest while securing your credit
Increase Credit Limit Now

If I just pay my credit card bill, will my credit limit go up?

Paying your bill clears your dues and frees up your current limit, so you can use the card again. But remember: It won’t increase your overall credit limit.

And if you want to increase your spending power?

You’ll need to add more money to your Fixed Deposit (FD) linked to the card.

Let’s make it simple with an example

Suppose you made an FD of ₹10,000 and got a credit limit of ₹9,000 (90% of the FD).
You used ₹8,000 and later repaid the full amount.

Now, your available limit is back to ₹9,000.
But your total limit is still ₹9,000 — it hasn’t increased.

👉 If you want a higher credit limit, say ₹18,000, you need to book another FD of ₹10,000.

So, repaying helps you reuse your limit, but only a new FD helps you grow it.

You’re abroad. Spend smart.
